Course Description
Along with the Golem, the Maharal of Prague was a seminal influence on Modern Chasidut, and the philosophy of Rav Kook. His novel approach to Jewish learning and his understanding of the nature of Torah, are as compelling as they are provocative. In this class we will be using his text Gevurat Hashem (The Book of Power).

About Rabbi Avi Weinstein
Rabbi Avi Weinstein taught at Yeshivat Hamivtar and Michlelet Bruria from 1979 until 1984. He also has been a talmid of Rabbi Brovender since 1975. He is currently the Head of Jewish Studies at The Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy in Overland Park, Kansas. When Teshuva is effective and when it isn't...

Last week we learned that once a sin morphs from the material into the realm of intellect, Teshuva can no longer effectively eradicate its essence. This happens when no remorse accompanies the sin, and, in effect, a sin unacknowledged calcifies and can no longer be removed...We go further this week as we prepare for both RH and YK.
