Course Description

Simcha: Many of us are familiar with the concept of 'Mitzva gedola lehiyot besimcha,' but what does simcha really mean? We will explore simcha and its connection to the festival of Sukkot.

 

Bitachon: In this shiur, we will explore the concept of trust in G-d and its connection to the holiday of Sukkot.



About Mrs. Bracha Rutner
Bracha Rutner is the Yoetzet Halacha at the Riverdale Jewish Center and the Young Israel of North Riverdale and a Talmud and Halakah teacher in Yeshiva of Flatbush. She has given numerous lectures on the interface of halachah and various women's issues such as gynecology, infertility, women's health, family dynamics and sexuality, and other halachik issues throughout the New York area. She completed her Yoetzet Halacha training in Nishmat's Keren Ariel Women's Halachik Institute in Jerusalem. Ms. Rutner is a graduate of the Bruria Scholars Program in Midreshet Lindenbaum, a graduate of the ATID Fellowship Program in Jerusalem and the Lookstein Educational Leadership Advancement Initiative. She has done graduate work in Talmud from the Hebrew University and is currently pursuing her MA in education administration from St. John's University.
