Course Description

We are gathering Jewish educators and educational technology experts (and people with one foot in each world) to continue our series of discussions about the intersection of these realms, to think together creatively about best uses and applications, and collaborate in predicting and strategizing for the impact of technology on chinuch.

About Rabbi Tzvi Pittinsky
Rabbi Tzvi Pittinsky is the Director of Educational Technology at the Frisch School in Paramus, NJ. He is an educational consultant for Gemara Berura, a technology enhanced methodology for teaching Talmud and is also a Smart Board Certified Teacher Trainer. Rabbi Pittinsky received his B.A., Semicha and 2 master's degrees in Medieval Jewish History and Education from Yeshiva University and is currently a doctoral candidate at Yeshiva University's Azrieli Graduate School of Education and Administration.

Discussion Evening on iPads in Jewish Education

The focus of this evening will be on iPads in Jewish Education. It will feature presentations by two schools that are currently on the forefront in this area, Ohr Chadash in Baltimore and the Yeshiva of Flatbush in Brooklyn. · The presentation from Ohr Chadash will be on Differentiated Instruction using iPads in Middle School Judaic Studies and will feature Mr. Noam Davidovics, Director of Educational Technology, and Mrs. Elisheva Erlanger, 5th and 6th Grade Chumash Teacher. · The presentation from the Yeshiva of Flatbush will be on the Flatbush iPad Initiative and will feature Rabbi Joseph Beyda, Assistant Principal, and Mr. David Galpert, Educational Consultant for Yeshiva of Flatbush.
