This semester we will explore the Prophecies of the Holy Zohar, and 'the Redemption' - 'Geula', and the 'Messianic Period' called 'Y'mote HaMashiach', the Days of the Messiah. We will do so in light of current events, and also with an eye to the fulfillment of other prophecies from the Tanach. As always, we will try to include practical teachings in prayer and meditation that will enhance our experience and service of Hashem.

July 26, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Welcome: Tonight's class will be the last of the semester. the zohar will explore the nature of redemption, geula, and vengeance and the Shechina. In what may be a surprising look for many, Rabbi Shimon and his students explain the nature of the Shechina in exile and her restoration in Israel, for she too is 'coming home', to be with her 'husband'. The Zohar will also touch on the relationship of the Jewish people to the nations, our role and our apparent passivity as a people until the making of the state of Israel. Also we will discuss the aspects of revelation of shechina and inspiration, and will try to connect that to our modern understanding of 'enlightenment' and the Messianic Era. Thank you for being there, and look forward to being with you to tonight. Avraham Chira
July 19, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Welcome. Tonight we will continue with the Zohar and the idea of parnassa, physical sustenance, and how that is rooted in spiritual sustenance. We will explore also the idea of how 'speech' becomes 'nourishment' and how 'spiritual nourishment' is an extraction of the union of meaning and sound. This process maps the progression of how 'spirit' becomes 'action & matter'. From this we can understand the kabbalistic interpretation of E=MC2. May all of us be blessed with spiritual and physical sustenance in these difficult times. Looking forward to seeing all of you. Avraham
July 12, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Hello, and good morning from Israel. Tonight's class the Zohar will discuss the connection between 'the ma'hn', making a living, the keeping of Torah and the test of the Jews as they left Egypt. The Zohar makes it clear to us that these events and 'tests' from God were for our own spiritual development, and to give us an everlasting teaching about the relationship between 'parnassa' and faith, and the Redemption of Faith itself from the exile of worldly fears. Look forward to seeing all of you. Always, Avraham
July 5, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Welcome. Tonight the Zohar explores the vengeance of Paroah, the nature of evil when it attacks itself or its friends, and that relationship to the Redemption, the release of the Jewish people from Paroah, the nature of victory over evil, and our appropriate position when we see our enemies defeated. Some of the ideas we will discuss may be controversial, but as Rabbi Nachman says, there are some levels of understanding we cannot reach without argument, and even disent, and that is the place we must rise above to reach closer to Hashem. Look forward to seeing all of you tonight. Avraham
June 28, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Welcome. Tonight the Zohar will examine the nature of the dichotomy of heaven and earth, nature and miracles, in light of the Remdemption and the nature of Moshe Rabbeinu, who stood 'between' heaven and earth, who was able to unify these realms, and thus become the conduit of miracles. The Zohar also explores how the Jews themselves are tested by this relationship, on their path to a national Redemption. And hopefully this paradigm will shed light on the current situation, and the role of the Jewish people now, and in the future. Look forward to seeing all of you there. Always, Avraham

June 7, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Shalom and welcome. Tonight we will continue looking at the structure of angels, how they are created, their nature and make-up, their relationships to human events and human actions, their status on heaven and earth, and their relationship to the Redemption. There are many secrets surrounding this subject, some of which are practicle to our everyday service as Jews. Look forward to all of you being there. Sincerely, Avraham
May 31, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Shalom to all; tomorrow night the Zohar will take us into the world of angels, and the system of perfect balance between the spiritual and physical realms. The Zohar describes the process of our exiles amongst the nations as a reflection of the changes in the heavenly 'beauracracy', and how the history and destiny of the exile and redemption of the Jewish people is tied to the structure, order, and conduct of these 'heavenly powers'. The Zohar deals specifically with the last, most difficult exile and its redemption, that of Ishmael, and its minions, both above and below. Here, Rabbi Shimon explains the amazing secret of the Jewish people, that our exile is a function of the world's redemption, and a process that was woven into the fabric of creation from the beginning. Look forward to having all you there, and as always, it is my priveledge to share these teachings with you. always, Avraham
May 24, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Welcome to all. Tonight we will continue with the Zohar and the Redemption, starting with the Jewish people as they emerge from Egypt, broken, divided and weakened, and how Hashem renews their spirits with song and perception, and heals them of all the illnesses they had received in Egypt. We will also look upon the moments leading up to the receiving of the Torah, and the preparations necessary for this momentus occasion. All of this will be in context of our personal service, the redemption of our 'firstborn' our higher soul, from the 'exile' in the material world. Look forward to seeing all of you there. Sincerely, Avraham Ps. Details will also be given as to an upcoming women's meditation group forming in Jerusalem.
May 17, 2012 9:00PM - 10:00PM Geula: Redemption in the Zohar
Good evening and welcome to a new semester. This week we will begin our exploration of the Zohar's treatment of Geula, Redemption. This topic appears hundreds of times in the 8 volume work of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai. We will begin with Moshe Rabbeinu and the Jewish people in Egypt, and the conditions, similarities and differences between the Egypt and Babylonian exiles and their relation to our own, personal and collective exiles. These teachings help us to develop a much broader perspective on Redemption, its place and purpose in Creation, and help build our hope and faith in the future of our people, and mankind as a whole. We will also discuss the significance of Sefirat ha'Omer and the counting of the weeks until Shavuot. In upcoming weeks, the Zohar will take us into a series of prophecies for 'The End of Days' which many sages hold are happening today. I look forward to our new class together and bless all of your with the lights of Sefirat ha'Omer, in preparation for chag Shavuot. Always, Avraham
