Teshuva M'Ahava: The Zohar and Love of God

Welcome, and good evening.  Tonight we will continue our exploration of teshuva m'ahava with a unique look at sefer Yona, in particular, the prophet's prayer from inside the belly of the great fish.  This prayer offers us an unusual insight into the nature of the relationship with Hashem, and the /type of prayer that does not 'come back empty.  Yona's prayer teaches a principle that has been repeated elsewhere in Chazal, concerning CHizkiyahu HaMelech, and others, and it is an invaluable tool for all those who long for Hashem, to change for the better and to activate the power of miracles in their lives.

I look forward to seeing all of you there.    Avraham

Shalom to All and Shana Tova

I hope everyone had a powerful experience of renewal as many had this Rosh Hashanah.  Tonight we will continue with our exploration of Teshuva from Love.  Rabbi Nachman describes that this type of teshuva arouses the light of Shabat and expanded consciousness. We will discuss just exactly what these concepts are and how they are accessed and if there is time , we will also have a guided meditation that should help us focus on Shabat Teshuva, which proceeds Yom Kippur, .Look forward to seeing all of you.  Avraham Chira

Teshuva M'Ahava: The Zohar and Love of God

Good evening. It's been a long hot summer and it is excellent to be back. Welcome everyone to our Elul zman. Tonight we will explore the processes of teshuva, according to the Kabalah and learn from a story about the Ba'al Shem Tov and teshuva from 'ahava ila'ah'. In our discussion we will give examples of the different levels of teshuva, and explore their structure, their connection to each other, and how they express themselves through us, and in turn, ourselves through them. I look forward to all of you being here as we prepare for the 'awesome days' to come. Sincerely, Avraham Shira
