Since it first opened its virtual "doors" in 2007, WebYeshiva has become a premier center for online Jewish learning for thousands of students worldwide.  Building on this success, the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Brovender, and the WebYeshiva administrative team have a vision - for WebYeshiva to grow into a Yeshiva in as many senses of the word as can be realized in our virtual format.  As such, starting with the Winter Semester, which begins October 18th, WebYeshiva will be looking to move in a new, more serious direction.

In addition to our regular classes, we will be offering a new series of "Matmidim" classes, intended for the committed student.  Three Gemara classes will be taking place during the semester: a beginners and an advanced in evenings according to North American time zones, and a beginners in the evenings according to European and Israeli time zones.  These tracks will include both standard classes 3-4 days a week as well as private student-teacher tutorials, with the aim of helping dedicated students to deepen their commitment to Torah learning and to progress in their scholarship. 

We hope that this new model will encourage students to increase their level of commitment to their learning as much as they are able, and to take advantage of the wealth of resources available to them through our technology and outstanding teachers.
