Rabbi Shaul Robinson

Born in Glasgow, Scotland. Studied at Yeshivat HaMivtar 1988-1995. First Full time Student Chaplain at the University of Cambridge, then Rabbi of Barnet Synagogue until 2005. Senior Rabbi at Lincoln Square Synagogue 2005 - present. Holds a BA in Political Science and an MBA in Not for Profit Management from the University of Nottingham.

THE BRUCE RITHOLTZ TALMUD PROJECT: A new kind of Gemara shiur, dedicated to the memory of Bruce Ritholtz a”h. The class will undertake the ambitious goal of studying and completing an entire tractate of Talmud each year followed by a siyum to mark its completion at the time of Bruce's yahrtzeit, between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The class will be focused on a clear understanding of the text of the Gemara, together with in-depth explorations of selected topics followed by interactive dialogue through social media and email. This year we will be studying tractate Megilla. This class will be broadcast live from Lincoln Square Synagogue (LSS) in New York. LSS is a diverse and vibrant Modern Orthodox Congregation that provides religious, social, and educational services and outreach to the unique Jewish community of the Upper West Side.
