Blessing Leishev BaSukkah

When is the bracha on sitting in the sukka recited? Only when eating a meal with bread? What about when eating a piece of cake? What about when eating pasta? Join Rabbi Dovid Fink as he surveys the sources and the opinions of the great poskim on this matter.

This shiur is dedicated in honor of Yael Malka bat Yasmin. May her parents merit to raise her in Torah, Chupa, and Maasim Tovim.

Blessing Leishev BaSukkah: Lesson
Class description

It is simple enough to summarize the bottom-line halacha governing the brachot to be recited on the Sukkah.

But an analysis of the sources for these halachot illuminates an astonishing number of fundamental principles of halachic methodology that have wide application throughout the length and breadth of Torah.

In class we will examine the primary sources, translate them, and explain them.

The links return WORD format and pdf versions of the sources.
