Divine Guidance Using Mystical Power
The Gaon of Vilna had a unique way to answer people’s questions. He would open a Tanach to the week’s parsha and pointing his find to any pasuk, would gather the answer based on where his finger landed. It was called Goral HaGrah. Join Rabbi Dovid Fink and study the topic of divine guidance using mystical power based on the opinions of the great rabbis from the Talmud down through the modern authorities.
Divine Guidance Using Mystical Power: Lesson
This evening (Wednesday) is our first class on casting mystical lotteries to decide what to do or what not to do.
The Gaon of Vilna is credited with establishing the method of casting the lottery, and we will examine the sources dealing with this with a view to understanding how the lottery works and what its capabilities are.
Sources are available through the links in both WORD format and pdf. In class we will translate and explain these sources.
