In this in-depth course with Rabbi Dovid Fink, we will study all aspects of the Laws of Niddah from the sources, tracing the development of the Halacha from the time of the Torah through today, including practical questions of our time. In addition, we will include psychological considerations and women’s health issues into our learning.
We will be following the order of the Shulchan Aruch, beginning with definitions of basic technical terms regarding the various causes of uterine bleeding.
Hebrew sources are available through the links in both WORD format and pdf. In class we will translate and explain these sources.
Then we will turn to the leniencies pertaining to travelling. The night before departing for a trip away from home and leaving the spouse at home, certain rabbinic prohibitions can be lifted.
After dealing with the leniencies and obligations of a husband who leaves his wife for a trip, we will turn to the question of a woman who becomes nidda in the midst of marital intercourse.
In addition to being one of Rabbi Brovender's first students, Rabbi Dovid Fink is an outstanding expertᅠand teacher of Halacha.
