After eating meat, there is a waiting time before drinking milk or eating cheese. But the Chasidic masters taught the importance of combining meat and milk on Shavuot. In this class we examine this tension in primary sources.

Class description

Ashkenazim wait six hours after eating hard cheese before eating meat. In this class we will examine the primary sources in defining which cheeses are considered “hard.”

The Hebrew sources for this class are available on the class page at WebYeshiva.org both in WORD and in pdf. In class we will translate and explain these sources.

In addition to being one of Rabbi Brovender's first students, Rabbi Dovid Fink is an outstanding expertᅠand teacher of Halacha. Rabbi Fink received his Rabbinic ordination from ITRI and the Mir and was awarded his Ph.D in Semitic Languages and Linguistics from Yale University. Rav Fink has taught thousands of students from all over the world for over 35 years.
