Sacrifice & Triumph: A VIRTUAL TOUR - Jerusalem 1967
This is a virtual tour – In the long and storied history of the Jewish People, there have been very few events as momentous as the incredible Six Days from June 5-10 1967, climaxing in the liberation of the Old City and the reunification of Jerusalem. On the 53rd anniversary of that historic miracle, join Rabbi Alan Haber for a virtual tour in Jerusalem and the mountains that surround it, reliving the tense weeks before the war, the dramatic progress of the battle itself, and the triumphant aftermath of those decisive days. Since current realities make a physical tour difficult right now, we’ll use maps, photos and videos to “travel” through the area virtually, as we did on Yom HaAatzmaut.
Rabbi Alan Haber serves on the faculty of World Bnei Akiva’s Midreshet Torah V’Avodah and has taught at Nishmat, Matan, and YTA. He was one of the founders of Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim (MMY) serving as director for 16 years. A licensed professional tour guide, he has lectured widely in Israel and around the world and is a graduate of Yeshivat Har Etzion and Yeshiva University.
