Sofer Stam Certification 1st class: In this session we will get organized, learn to use the dual-pencil diagram and some halachot best to print the attached files before class starts make sure to upload this week’s completed homework- to the FORUM at least one day before the class

Sofer Stam Certification 2nd class: In this session we will learn how to write with the plastic kulmus-on paper best to print the attached files before class starts make sure to upload this week’s completed homework- to the FORUM at least one day before the class Watch videos and listen to MP3’s before class

Sofer Stam Certification 3rd class: In this class we will learn to prepare a feather kulmus. It is very important that you watch the relevant video, and try making a few yourself- as a basis to the actual class. Don’t worry if it doesn’t come out so successful- it’s only a “warm-up” for the class! Make sure you have 3 feathers soaking in a mixture of water+vinegar (50-50%) for at least 48 hours before class, and that you have the tools in a separate bag ready before class starts. It’s always a good idea to log in some 10 minutes before class starts and say Hi to each other and schmooze a little. Also- make sure you have the tools for erasure in a separate bag, ready before class. Print out the “kedushat hashemot” worksheet for this class, and listen to the Halacha MP3 Always post a scan of your writing (jpeg only!) on the forum a day or two before class, and comment on other’s posts.

Sofer Stam Certification 4th class: In this class we will continue to practice the feather kulmus. Practice making other kulmusim (one feather can make about 5 kulmusim)- try to get it right within 20 minutes max. Make sure you have 3 feathers soaking in a mixture of water+vinegar (50-50%) for at least 48 hours before class, and that you have the tools in a seperate bag ready before class starts.
