The Beit Hamikdash in Our Time: ascending to Har haBayit
One of the more interesting topics in Halacha and l’havdil in the realm of geopolitics is entry of Jews into what is known as Har haBayit (or if you prefer the Haram al Sharif).
The Halachic questions deal with the sanctity of this area which was enclosed by the none-too-pious king Herod a bit over 2000 years ago. There are certainly areas within this compound which we may enter (the Waqf notwithstanding) and there are certainly areas which we may not enter. So what to do is a question that many Poskim have addressed. We will discuss the fundamental issues of this subject today.
The Beit Hamikdash in Our Time: Sacrifices in our time: Could we should we?
