The Holiness of Repentance

The Holiness of Repentance

Where Ba’alei Teshuvah (those who repent) stand, the Tzadik (absolutely righteous) cannot stand with them. Who is greater, the Tzadik or the Ba’al teshuva? It sounds like a no brainer, but it is actually an argument found in the Gemara, and most opinions side with the Ba’al Teshuva! It doesn’t exactly sound fair does it? This class will look at how and why this seems to be so. Through this analysis what will emerge is why Teshuva (repentance) is so powerful and what it means to be a Ba’al Teshuva, which literally means “a master of return”.
