Verse by Verse: The Akeyda: Learning the methodology of learning verse by verse
Class description

Dear Students,

Welcome to Elul semester. Looking forward to translating verse by verse together with  the commentaries.

This learning experience will be one of gaining textual skills. I will not go into the grammar in depth but rather make a reference to grammar (for grammar information, please look at my grammar courses in the archives).

In order to understand the story line of the chapter:

1)Read it in English

2)break down chapter into units of story line

We will then translate the following commentaries:

Rashi and select Rambans  and Sefornonos in order to understand what their particular questions are, and what their conclusions are.

Your assignment:

pasukim/verses aleph and bet with Rashi

Whoever can translate from the text , please do so. For those who need the assistance of the English translation please feel free to  do so.

Looking forward  to learning together.

All the Best!

Osnat Goldman
